ABOUT JIM
kids yoga + acro coach AT H.E.L.P
THIS IS His EVOLUTION
At the age of sixteen, Jim began dancing and discovered it was his first key to freedom. He was able to use his body to express the thoughts and emotions he couldn’t use words for and through dance he was introduced to acrobatics and his life was never the same.
Jim believes tumbling fast became his salvation from the dark days life could bring helping him to unlock the possibilities the body has to offer. When asked what he loves most about tumbling his answer is always:
“‘it’s the closest thing I can get to flying - to me, tumbling feels completely natural and is one of my most effective ways of becoming present and truly being in my body””
In 2011 he was accepted into the Brent Street Full Time school receiving a Certificate IV in Performing Arts. Soon after in 2012, he was accepted into The Australian Institute of Music, spending 18 months studying a Diploma in Musical Theatre. Then in 2015 he was cast in the Australian premiere of “Bring It On the musical” performing at the NIDA Theatre in Sydney Australia. After performing at the NIDA Theatre he moved to Mexico accepting an opportunity of a lifetime to perform nightly and work with the activities team plaining, organising and instructing activities, holiday programming and special events.
Jim has taught acrobatics for the last seven years teaching thousands of children from numerous studios throughout the greater Sydney region. Along the way, experiencing some magical moments of true passion, joy and connection from helping young people achieve their goals and feel the exhilaration that tumbling can bring.
After igniting an authentic personal yoga practice in early 2017, he begun his greatest journey yet; delving deep into the reality of consciousness and the way we can use our bodies actively every day to reach a place of peace and contentment.
